How the process works, step by step

DovEggs has been making jewelry since 2014 and everything on the official website is made to order — there is no ready-to-ship stock. The custom flow is straightforward and every step only moves forward after your written approval:

• Quote: you send your idea, a reference photo, or an existing style number, and DovEggs prepares a quote. Quotes are valid for 6 months.
• Payment: DovEggs sends a payment link. A CAD is not drawn before payment.
• CAD within 72 hours: you receive a CAD drawing and can request changes — band thickness and width, setting height, pavé placement, stone matching, and more. Revised CADs are sent for a second approval.
• Stone approval: where it applies, you see photos or a video of your stone before it is set.
• Production: gold and platinum take about 7–10 business days after CAD approval; sterling silver takes about 15 business days (longer around holidays).
• Finished-piece photos: before shipping, DovEggs sends enlarged, unretouched photos of the finished ring for your approval. A video is sent when you ask for one.
• Shipping: US orders arrive 5–7 business days after production, by DHL or FedEx, for a flat $19. International orders ship DHL in about 4–6 business days.

If you cancel before production starts, you get a full refund. Once production has begun, a 10% cancellation fee applies.

What you can customize

Almost everything. Because each piece is made to order, you can choose any shape, color, and metal. A reference photo is used for style only — it does not mean the ring must match it exactly.

• Setting details: prong count and style, bezel vs prongs, adding or removing a hidden halo, cathedral vs basket, open gallery, gallery rails, milgrain, band width and thickness, and stone orientation. A hidden halo and side support bars also help with stone stability.
• Metals: sterling silver (default double-layer platinum plated), solid 10k, 14k, or 18k gold, and solid platinum. You can request a different plating or flag a metal allergy in advance. Unplated white gold is available on request.
